When you see beauty in the unexpected or overlooked, life becomes magical. It is easy to see beauty in the obvious–the perfect rose, the supermodel, a vista like the grand canyon. Training ourselves to look for beauty in what we’d first cast off as boring, ugly or a nuisance like this weed is a great spiritual practice. When I started my on the walk photo series I never knew that it was going to teach me so much about how much I overlook in life and I never knew I’d be inspired by dandelions, dried weeds and all sorts of things I used to pass by without notice. It has opened my world and it has indeed become magical.
