Somewhere along the line many of us got conned into believing that if we vibrated high enough; if we thought the right positive thoughts and said the right affirmations; if we found the special 10 steps to success–life would be easy.
This morning I laid in bed before the alarm went off, awake in that cozy state where all is well. The room was cool. I had had a good night’s sleep. I had time and didn’t have to rush to hop in the shower. It was peacefully quiet and then something awful happened.
Have you hugged yourself today? That’s a serious question. Have you? Have you given yourself a pat on the back just for being you? Have you told yourself you are doing okay? Have you said, “I think you are special?” No? Up until I started to write this article I hadn’t either.
