Have you hugged yourself today? That’s a serious question. Have you? Have you given yourself a pat on the back just for being you? Have you told yourself you are doing okay? Have you said, “I think you are special?” No? Up until I started to write this article I hadn’t either.
In December, I took a class from the Four Winds Society called Walking with Protection to teach me how to block the negative energies that can be so present in the world. I took this class for myself and to be able to share the information with my readers and clients.

We cannot fully be in touch with the sacred self inside unless we are willing to speak our truths with kindness and compassion. Learning to be transparent and vulnerable is not something that the ego or our fearful self is anxious to do. We say, “I don’t want to hurt others, I don’t like conflict, or I don’t want to be ridiculed if my truth is inconvenient for the other person”, but what we are really saying is, “who I am, isn’t okay and isn’t strong enough to handle expressing my truth with love for all.”
