Hi Carol!

Good post and good reminders. As an author, comparison and jealousy is a stage everyone goes through and many people get stuck there! When I was in a pack of wanna-be authors, it was hard to watch some breaking out. I had to realize, "that is their path." I was making choices that kept me on mine, even if it meant not getting the big publishing contract. It's easier now because I don't compare, and I've gone my own way. It's apple and oranges!

Thanks for stopping by, Mary Jane. Since I posted this I've noticed the foaming around other plants and in the grass with no tree present, so I believe it is probably insects. Interesting however it is formed, isn't it?

I noticed the same thing in the woods yesterday during a steady rain. It was mostly on yellow birch, but I also found it on a couple of maples. My online research suggests that it might just be resin and such from the tree that is washing off, or it might indicate an insect infestation. Nothing definitive.

Carol-
You are always right! I have had my "highs", and right now I'm having my "lows". Just when I'm thinking that I'm lost again, and I don't know which way to turn, YOU come along with the answer! Talking about sincronicity!! I am discovering that everythings starts with ME. Where I come from, where I go. If I stay "within" long enough, I know I'll be guided to which way I should turn.
I'm looking forward to our next fire ceremony.
Until we meet, love and blessings to you.

Gail. You demonstrated one of the things that I love--simple choices that can shift how we are in the world. We may think we don't have time for some of the practices we read about but we can make them our own and do them our way. Like you deciding to use your commute for "quiet" time. Thank you so much for stopping by! hugs

Carol, once again, your newsletter has perfect timing! I've been making it a point to have "quiet" time every day, even if it is while sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic on my way home from a hectic day of work. I turn off the radio, silence my cell phone, and just BREATHE...being open to what is going on inside of ME. I visualize my dreams, acknowledge new goals, and repeat my positive affirmations. I feel refreshed and much happier by doing this (and hence my family is happier when they get a happy mom walking through the door)! Thanks for reinforcing the need for me to continue this practice!! Gail

Eve--Part of the journey is discerning where we have to step up and where we have to let go. Sometimes it feels like we are losing ourselves when it is actually the Universe giving us exactly what we need to birth the real person we were meant to be. Don't be afraid to go into your shadow or "dark stuff" It is only by looking at what is up at the moment with loving eyes that things begin to shift. Sending you love and light.

JJ- Glad they spoke to you. Thanks for stopping by!

Susan Kay--You are on the right track! Sometimes we just need gentle reminders.

Jacob--Thank you. I don't know how to do what I do without being transparent about the fact that I am on this journey too. Some people like to portray themselves as gurus. I'd rather be a guide that shares how she has walked the path, where I too have stumbled. And you are right, part of our cultural tendency is to avoid the inner work. People think they can bypass the inner work and get to the good stuff quicker; not realizing the inner work is the good stuff.

Love you all thanks for stopping by.

Love this Carol! Needed to read it this morning. Found myself stopping myself again from moving forward. Time for some quiet time with the Universe and then a RUN in gorgeous Pasadena. It is so great about that woman who manifested the perfect home on her dream street. Wink Wink! Love your work! Love YOU!
