Rosemary so sorry to hear of your loss. And wishing you the best on this day that I know one of those firsts that brings the sadness up from the well deep inside. Love to you.

Judy--The only other experience that came close was being in the room with you when Ellin was born. Both intensely spiritual life changing experiences.

El-Thank you so much for your support and love.

Love to you all Carol

Dear Carol,
How amazing that your newsletter arrived today on my birthday--the first without my husband of 43 years who passed away in December. I also was at his side in those last moments and I treasure the memories that I hold forever. Today was not easy for me, although my friends have been wonderfully supportive. I truly believe that "sadness cleanses the heart."

What a beautiful story!! I completely understand what you mean about being by your mom's side when she took her last breath. I was at my grandmother's side keeping her face and mouth clean when she passed away. It was an incredible experience and she waited until all of the close family had arrived before she took her last breath. It doesn't take the pain away, but it puts things in perspective when everyone was there filled with love at her side.

What a beautiful takeaway from a difficult time. Can't wait to read your upcoming book "From Scared to Sacred". If its filled with similar stories and lessons, it will become a bestseller and a book that people share with their friends.

Dear Carol:
You are right about the important things to remember: people. We must remember that we are here for a limited time that we must cherish all the time we can spend with our families and friends. But let's not forget those in need, the homeless, the physically and mentally ill. During my daughter's long illness I was able to meet lots of people like that, and one thing that I always found myself doing is remembering one or more persons who didn't have any family to visit them. I took it upon myself to take a few minutes and visit with them, offered my support, a smile, a what can I do for you?
So, it's good to also take the time to think of others less fortunate than ourselves, and of course it's time to realize how fortunate we are!

Hi Carol,
I feel the soul holds a memory of everything we have ever thought or felt in the cells of our body. If we are acting out of fear instead of love our soul is recording it for future experiences and if we allow fear to be our guiding force, then the soul searches its core memory for that file, and we get tested again to see if we have really released its affects from our memory banks. My theory is that when you re lease it, you don't own it anymore. Websters, defines: lease, as something you do not own.

Sam-

Hypnosis can help with anxiety and depression. It is normally used in conjunction with lifestyle changes and depending on severity even medication. Clients undergo a series of hypnosis sessions that help the client retrain his or her mind--not a one-time session. If you have further questions, feel free to contact me directly.
