I am in love with trees and I’m so fortune that I live in a neighborhood where I can appreciate their splendor on my daily walks. Here are some of “my friends” from today’s walk.
Today on our walk, I looked up to notice the delicate beauty of the tassels on the end of the branch of this tree. I am in awe of how many different ways plants seed.

On our walk today, the light was amazing. It is a beautiful Southern California day to be thankful for as I send prayers to the people affected by the tornadoes and bad weather back east. Captivated by the beauty of the light filtering through the trees–so beautiful.
The thing I love about living in Southern California is that our “winter” weather is rarely more than a few days of a chilly rain. Today I noticed this tree with its colorful fall foliage–so pretty against the blue sky. Remember beauty is all around if you open your eyes!
When I first moved to California, I was fascinated with the Birds of Paradise Bushes with these exotic flowers. To this girl from the Midwest it meant that I was truly in a “magical place.” Over the years, I began to take them for granted but today this one reminded me of the magic!
