I love word succulent and I love succulents when they bloom. These orange flowers are a day brightener. How can you bring more succulence, more juiciness into your life? How can you appreciate the abundance that is already here?
This flower reminded me of an angel today.
On the walk today I stopped and looked closely at this dandelion just opening. Was amazed at the details that I hadn’t noticed before like the ragged edge of each petal. It reminds me of all the subtle things we miss or don’t acknowledge that add beauty and depth to our lives.
On the walk, I look down. I’m stunned the water droplets from the sprinklers have created an amazing bit of nature art. Nothing to do but admire the magic.
I’ve been practicing looking for beauty and miracles on my walk each day with my dog, Sadie for over a year now. As a shaman, I know that one of the thing that heals us is reconnecting with the earth and the natural world and yet so often we miss what the natural world is […]
On our walk today, there was a lot of bee activity in a lavender bush. I thought it would be cool to get a close up picture of the bees gathering nectar. Alas, the bees were too fast for me today. But it was perfect because if one of the bees had stayed long enough for me to get the picture, I would have missed this grasshopper who was posing so quietly on the bush.
When I am on my walks, I try to spend some time looking closely at the small details I wouldn’t see if I didn’t focus in and other time taking in the bigger beauty and landscape. I’m lucky to live in an amazing neighborhood that shares itself with me everyday and reminds me how amazing Mother Earth is.
These small purple flowers caught my attention. The details are amazing. If you walked by hurriedly, you’d just see a blur of purple in a bush. But if you look closer you see amazing details, I wouldn’t want to have missed. Beautiful!
